Job Summary
Wilson Brown Sock Company is seeking a dependable and motivated Material Handler to support daily warehouse and production operations. This position plays an important role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supplying production departments with materials, preparing outgoing shipments, and keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and operating efficiently. Team members in this role must be safety-minded, detail-oriented, and willing to work as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks safely and efficiently.
- Receive goods against purchase orders and properly store received inventory.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and responsibly.
- Weigh, wrap, and prepare pallets for shipment.
- Receive greige goods from company trucks and transport materials to designated locations.
- Pull orders and materials for the dye house and dryer room.
- Pull and stage customer shipment orders accurately.
- Assist with stocking and organizing inventory.
- Help perform cycle counts and inventory checks to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Deliver support materials such as cases, boxes, bags, and bands to production floors.
- Organize and store incoming materials in their proper warehouse locations.
- Perform inventory counts on materials not currently maintained in NetSuite.
- Break down empty boxes and dispose of cardboard in designated dumpsters.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment.
- Assist with additional warehouse or material handling duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.
- Ability to lift, move, and transport materials throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable attendance and willingness to learn.
- Basic understanding of inventory processes is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
